Julie MacLellan

Julie MacLellan

Julie MacLellan is the assistant editor for the New Westminster Record and Burnaby NOW, plus a reporter covering arts, entertainment and education. Outside of work, you'll find her enjoying local hiking trails, writing fiction and pondering the mysteries of parenting a tween. Julie is also a cubicle hummer and lifelong choral singer, currently found among the altos in Amabilis Singers.

Julie has a journalism degree from Carleton University and more than 25 years of experience in community newspapers. She also has two cats who work alongside her when they deign to acknowledge her existence. If you can't find Julie at her desk, she's probably stuck under a cat watching her coffee grow cold across the room.
